Sashar Zarif – an internationally acclaimed dancer, choreographer, teacher and dance ethnologist presented his version of the Conference of the Birds. His unique style of dance merges the traditional elements of Iran, Afghanistan, his native Azerbaijan and Mongolia with contemporary dance and sufi whirling.
