TANEČNÍ WORKSHOPY

9.-12.11.2007, studio Zambra and Naboso, Prague

 

During the festival three dance workshops took place – dancer and professional lector Sashar Zarif prepared for every workshop a sampling of dance traditions from various areas of the Middle East. All workshops featured explanation of individual figures and movement analysis. Workshops took place in Zambra and Naboso dance studios.

 

 

  • Clasical Persian dance and the character of Saqhi often found in persian poetry (9.11)
  • Dances of Central Asia - Afghani, Tadjik and Iranian folklore dances in rows and circles (11.11.)
  • Mongolian dances - participants had the opportunity to learn dance "Wish-treeí“ and „Girl cooking rice“(12.11.)
