THE CONFERENCE of BIRDS in Bratislava

repeat of the dance and music performance

Music and dance based on Attar’s „Manteq-at-Tair“ (12.century, Persia) considered the most important work of Sufi literature. The Conference of Birds is an allegory of the Sufi path to enlightement and inner quest. The dance is inspired by traditional Persian dance, Contemporary dance and Flamenco.

Performance had its premiere on 18.10. 2009 in Prague at La Fabrika Theatre and was one of the three dance performances of the festival Dance Meridian 2009.
